Great tut!
Haha im actually using this at home for my flash based game design class but i am having one problem. When you are creating a hit test in order to make barriers do you have to have another movieclip? When you say borders (this._y-=4. etc) where exactly do you put them. Been trying to figure this out all morning and its really ticking me off. I have my test movieclip moving around the screen but cant create a working hit test.

all the answers were sort of childish like the first one what is his power? being dumb? thats horibble just spend alot more time on your animations

one bad thing
great game but when i was figting bowser he would shoot out hundreds of fireballs at the same time which i couldnt dodge and when i died they would carry out into the next fight

spend more time
spend some more time on it dont think that the line tool is god use the paint brush more and dont do the same voice for everyone and when they are talking why is thier mouth just a circle have you ever seen anyone talk like that just spend some more time on it

the movie was good but...
the music sucked like at the theme song the music you had before was perfect that one gave me a head ache but overall good
